There are so many different DVD players with different functions that labeling one single DVD player the best. If you just want something basic, we would say that the Sony BDP-S350 is the best one. If you want all of the features and the one that truly is the best, we recommend the BDP-CX960. Pretty much all DVD players will do the same thing, play your disc, but these 2 particular options would be the best ones for playing DVDs. They are both optimized to be a dvd player for smart TV.
NO! DVD players are far from obsolete. In fact, they are superior to any downloadable or streamable file type. The offer a better video and audio experience. DVD players are also great because they do not require an internet connection or subscription to a service. DVD player are still extremely useful.
Some DVD players do offer the ability to watch Netflix. Most Blu-Ray player will offer this capability as well as play your DVDs. We recommend the Sony BDP-S350 for Netflix.
A DVD player will ONLY play DVDs and a Blu Ray player will play both DVDs and Blu Rays.
